The JFK Library was built in 1968 and expanded in 1998. It has over 21 miles of shelving, and carries over a million books, periodicals and microfilm collections. The existing Staefa control system was over 30 years old when replaced. The Alerton control upgrade included custom built plug in circuit boards that directly replaced the existing Staefa controllers leaving the conduit and wiring in place with minimal downtime for the library.
